There are vacancies on the Takahanga Sport & Recreation Hub Board.
If you are passionate about supporting local sports and recreation initiatives and interested in making a positive impact in the community, we encourage you to apply for a position. Applications close 5 pm Monday, 18th May 2026.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for sport and recreation-minded people to serve in various roles on the Hub Board. We want people who can:
- think strategically
- enjoy working with others
- dedicated time and knowledge to this worthwhile community endeavour
- stay involved for a reasonable period of time (at least one term of office)
- help build an inclusive culture around increasing people’s access to sport and recreation in all forms here in Kaikōura
How to Apply
Applicants for the Takahanga Sport & Recreation Hub Board are required to attend the AGM at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, May 20th. The board seeks two members from within its member organisations and may co-opt an additional two individuals onto the team. If more than two candidates from member organisations express interest, an appointment panel will be formed to review the applicants.
